Car wont start :(

Ok heres the deal. 5 months ago I was having problems my car wouldn't start turn over nothing. Same days it did it some days it didnt. if it happened I would push start it. It would start right up and run perfect. As soon as I would turn it off it wouldn't start again. I changed the battery and cleaned the ground wire from the block. Well 5 months later(present time) I go to work car starts right up like any normal day.drive 2 min to the gas station wouldn't start. Same exact thing again. Any ideas on what it is? I'm thinking starter clutch sensor or maybe just within the ignition switch.

Sounds like your ideas are probably correct. If it's not even cranking check the connection on the starter and also make sure the connections in the fuse box are all good. Had the latter happen to me and keep the car from starting but everything else worked.

if i were you i would check the starter before digging into everything else. sounds to me like thats your problem.

get some one to help you. if the car wont start. open the hood, get a long extension or a screwdriver. have someone hold the key in the start position while you hit the extension or screwdriver with a hammer. if the starter cranks, your problem is the starter. if it doesnt crank, it may still be an issue but you need to investigate further.

We were able to jump the starter by bypassing the so solenoid. So thats not it now I'm thinking ignition switch or neutral safety switch

ok thats a good start.

does the ignition relay fire? can you hear it click when you try to start the car?

if so i think you may be onto something with the switch. im sure there is a way to jump it out and see if the car will start

Starter is easy to get to from the bottom, maybe need to take the IC pump outta the bracket but that's it. I know you ruled that out but just in case you need to know in the future lol

I want to say it's on the floor somewhere towards the drivers door but I could be wrong. That's one thing I've never had to mess with
