Exclamation Car wont start?

Long story short, I had the block torn all the way down and rebuilt it this weekend. Got the engine, trans, and cradle all back up. Stock blower installed, all wires reconnected, tires on and back on the ground. Added oil, coolant, haven't bled the clutch yet. Rewrote the ECU with the stock tune.. cranked and nothing? The only noise it made was the starter solenoid, one loud audible click and nothing afterwards, no cranking at all. The battery has good voltage, above 12v, and when turning the key the voltage does not drop at all. All fuses check out as well. My buddy and I are leaning towards a bad starter. Anybody else have a clue?

can you turn the engine over by hand? Put a wrench on the crank pulley bolt and see if it will spin.

I'll have to check, if not tonight then tomorrow. Do you happen to know where the ground goes from the frame rail that is located under the driver side headlight? I thought it went to the starter but looking at pictures of GMPD engine removal guide it doesn't look like it goes there.

no picture, but it is a single black maybe 8-10 gauge wire that comes off of the body underneath the driver side headlight bracket. Not sure where the other end goes?

it is a body ground for the engine......runs from the body to a bellhousing bolt/stud on the transmission

Hmm thought we did, guess not. Just checked the drop from the power wire coming off of it at the fuse block. No drop in voltage.

Battery was disconnected throughout the process and is securely connected now. I think I know where I messed up. I grounded a wire to power lead to the starter. I'm so use to working on heavy equipment vehicles at work that have ground wires on the heavy duty starters. When I get home I'll put that ground in the right place and pray my starter solenoid is still intact.
