Cat question

So, my 05 SS had a clogged cat, so I pulled it off and welded in a straight pipe. Car runs waay better now, but of course it caused the check engine light to come on.

What can I do to get the code to go away, and not come back, besides buying a high flow cat or aftermarket header/dp to replace the stock with?

That was a bad joke. No double entendre there.

put two spark plug antifoulers to space the o2 sensor out. Worked for me. You have to drill one out at the end to make the sensor fit though.

The spark plug anti foulers wont work i tried them. I went through the exact thing you did and bought a new high flow cat from vibrant.... but then decided to go catless. so if you want the cat you can have it for $70. i paid $95. my loss your gain. email me if you want it. its stainless by the way.
