CATCH can

i was reading some catch can threads and we wondering in stead of puting a catch can in line could u just put a cheap clamp on filter on the valve pane cover and then just block off the hole in the intake pipeing just wondering

y is that what is the big difference if any i would say filters ae cheaper frome advance and u can always take trhem offf and clean them out

if catch cans performed the same as a 99 cent breather, then there would be no market for catch cans.
