I have a stock 06 ss/sc, which my flexpipe had broken on, so i ordered the ZZP 3in catless downpipe, with rear o2 bung (which is perfect). I get everything installed, fire her up, no CEL. Ive driven about 300miles with it on my car, including extended highway driving. My question is am i just lucky or will it pop a CEL eventually?

It will come. I bet its pending right now.if you had a scanner to read codes it would tell you..however if you have ever been tuned most people turn out off its like one click

 

It will come on trust me. Once the weather gets cooler it'll come on then you'll have to get the cel tuned out.

 

Just have a angled bung welded on. Dont have to worry about it.

 

why do u gotta worry about CEL's? the stock dp has an 02 in it so what makes this so special? i'm about to do the same thing so i gotta know

Yes, its catless so it will throw a CEL. I was just curious as to why it hasnt thrown one yet. But im gonna scan it today and see what i can find.

 

Well it threw a code saturday.. It was raining out at the time, which im not sure if it mattered or not... But do o2 spacers really work? Or are they hit and miss.

 

they work i used it when i upgraded my stuff and the cel was on...you can go to autozone and get them for way cheap
