Bolted on new headers and cut the cat out of the downpipe and i havent had any cel yet. is that normal

Sure why not.. Lol.. Are your 02 sensors still in position? I only got a CEL as my rear 02 sensor went bye bye when I did my Catless Exhaust

I cut it with a knife and threw it away and got it re-tuned and had that sensor turned off so now.. No CEL :P

Aye, it takes a few drives sometimes.
You can always just do the spark anti-fouler trick and not have to worry about it at all. Been running it for months and haven't had an issue yet.
