Cf Cai?

Is there anyone out there who makes a CAI out of Carbon Fiber. I think this would rock over metal, I had a solid plastic one in my 03 mustang GT and when we did the Dyno since it was the proto type it made 10 HP and 10 FT Lbs. (www.JLTtruecoldair.com). I haven't asked him yet if he is willing to go to the four cylinder market or GM market yet. If anyone knows if a CF one is out there chime in.

Why is CF hard to get at the moment? Excuse my ignorance but new to the tuner world.

The military is sucking up all available supply. It seems that it is more important to use CF to kill people than to go fast - go figure.

It's used in stealth aircraft and certain types of missles, and rocket launchers.

Probably why I haven't seen it, It's stealth...lol......

I researched once to make it myself but never found a good reference, probably ask some of the airframe guys at work who do fiberglass if they know how.

sweet.....Price is going to be the factor I bet but I bet the benifits over metal should be great, especially in a long run on the engine due to heat soak.

The way all these aftermarket intakes rub against all kinda crap under the hood... I wouldn't want anything carbon fiber.
