Check engine light
Check engine light
Threw a p0300 code today was gonna take it to a dealer ship but said i had to take it tomorrow and wait about a hour so I took it to advanced and they did it in ten minutes. Its a random miss fire. The guy said it could be the crank shaft positioning censor so if it is im gonna be pissed because it was replaced a week after i got the car because it shut off one me any thoughts on what it is????
Sorry to bring this back but i searched and this and onlly 2 other threads came up so. Instead of here you guys bitch about searching i brought this one back. My ******* car turned off and when i tried to start it it acted like it wanted to and shook really bad then died, then got it started and rpm gauge didntg work then died again, after while got it started and it runs fine no check engine light... Had similar expierence and it was the crank shaft positioing censor. I think its that again but supoosedly it was fixed by dimmit..
so any thoughts?

Its on the transmission side. Here is a picture of the reluctor ring on the crank:

I don't have a picture of the actual sensor, but it should be easy to find. It will be the one closest to the seam between the engine and the trans.
