check engine light

check engine light

so i got a 2006 cobalt ss s/c about a week ago and now my engine light is on and when i hooked it up to the computer it said it had a emission control systems leak (large). anybody know what this is and has it happened to anybody else?? my exhaust is insanely loud but idk if thats just the car or not..

dont trip bout it,lol..take it to dealer...defenatly cover it since its a emission problem...

maybe a line from the gas tank is cracked or a sealant is bad and its releasing chemicals into the air with **** up ur emissions

it kinda smells like plastic burning from time to time but i figured it was the clutch since im kinda hard on it right now since its my first stick car and ive only had it a week...could that be the chemical **** youre talking about?

It's not something you can fix yourself. Take it to the damn dealer

You got a really bad exhaust leak or a hole in it somewhere. Take it to the dealership, you should still be under warranty.

ahh the flaming..this dudes boyfriend must of broke up with him lol

i am under warranty, im taking it to the dealer thursday..just seein what people thought
