Clutch
Clutch
Hello, recently i replaced my clutch came with whole kit, throw out bearing clutch everything, so it takes them over a week to accomplish the job ( i don't have time or tools to do it) i get the car back the clutch is still lose. (They never told me that they had a problem bleeding the system) since the master goes from the breaks then to inside the housing with the slave cylinder for the clutch, i bring it back they bleed it again but then the clutch goes out again.(after they fix it, it goes out every 3 days but now its gone.) I have never had any play in the clutch at all as soon as i touch the clutch and press you can feel the clutch engage... well now it pushes down 3 to 4 inches just to engage... So bring it back to them they say they don't see what is wrong with it.. Now here is the thing if im driving and it goes out( then very hard to shift) i can pump the clutch and it will come back to me and engage faster... Now there trying to say that its the master cylinder which i don't think it is because whenever my clutch goes out my breaks are absolutely fine, and you would think if it was master cylinder both would go out and i would have no brakes either any one have the same problem? suggestions? of what it is. Also i did do a oil change couple days ago and looked to be some fluid under the bell housing by transmission so im worried that there trying to rip me off and sell me a part i dont need when its warranty and its just the slave cylinder..
I had the same problem except with my stock clutch. Sometimes the pedal would go half to the floor before there would be clutch feel. Then if I pumped the pedal a bunch it would be normal again. I swapped my clutch out this spring and the throw out being came out in like 3 pieces. So I'm going to say your throw out bearing is garbage.
Well I had heard of people having bad throw out bearings even new. That's why you should always bleed your clutch before you put the car all back togeather just incase there's a problem and you have to drop the transmission again. You replaced your stock clutch with a stock clutch? Why? Should have gone with the GMPP one.
