clutch pipe replacement

clutch pipe replacement

is there a chance i can split the tranny enough to replace it without dropping the subframe?.. i just put a clutch in the car and i dont wanna drop the frame again lol

I've never heard of it, that doens't mean you can't. if its possible its probably note easy since some of the bolts are hard to get to even with the subframe out of the way.

I'm sure it could be done... whether or not it'd actually be easier is a different story. What's wrong with your clutch pipe?

And this is also why I always say that if you're already dropping the transmission, replace the TOB and clutch pipe.

well i just put the clutch in wit a t.o.b and didnt think anything of the clutch pipe, and at the elbow it isnt sealing i believe :/ its not my own car is the bad part

It's likely to be the rubber nipple at the distribution block. Either it's missing or broken.

Agreed. It's unlikely the pipe itself got damaged - although I won't rule the possibility out, but I feel like you'd have to really try to hurt it.



Sometimes it hides away in the distribution block that sits on top of it. Check there. If it was left in the distro block after the previous removal and not properly placed back on the clutch pipe, it will not seal properly upon reinstallation.

yea the rubber nipple was wedged to deep into the elbow i think, i got a new clutch pipe and threw the seal on it and it appears to b fixed lol
