clutch problem/ engine problems

ok, so my clutch has been acting up for awhile. seems whenever theres extreme load on the engine my clutch will go stiff and i would be able to put it in gear. example. when i leave my town to go on the highway to go to work theres a fair sized hill to go up, i pull up to the stop sign. put my car in first gear and let it rev to about 6500 rpm and go to shift to second, most times it wont go in second. the odd time it do, again let it rev up to 5-6000 rpm and try to shift to third and most time it will not go in. it only happens in cases like this, or if i start on the flat and leave some rubber on the road in first it will do the same.

OK second. went to my girlfriends house, left car running. was in there for 10 15 minutes, came back out, car was shut off, engine light on. found it odd but never thought much more then that about it, just thought to myself ill have to get this checked tomorrow. next day, engine light gone out, car seemed to be working ok. few days later on a stone cold engine, start car, pull out to road and steps peddle down about 1/2 to 3/4 way and it does nothing but sputter and miss, engine light did NOT come back on. shifted to second, at WOT car went to 4000 rpm and refused to rev higher until i juiced the throttle, bucking the car 2-3 times.

any suggestions on either problem? dealer thinks they know the problem with the clutch but they have to call chev to see if there was any other know problems to do it, the also think the engine trouble is related to the clutch.

engine light and shifting issues sounds like 2 separate problems. shifting problem is most likely the throwout bearing/slave cylinder. if you replace the tob/slave and still have problems shifting, the synchronizers need to be replaced in the transmission.

second issue I would start by doing some simple maintenance. clean the throttle body and bypass valve on the supercharger. clean the maf and air filter also. inspect for vacuum leaks. What is your vacuum reading at idle? may also try some techron fuel system cleaner in case you got some bad gas. pull plugs and inspect them also.

Ok I replaced my clutch and throw out bearing at like 55,000 miles. It felt like I had no clutch at all. And also i always thought if your syncros are bad usually it will make a little grind when you shift gears. Also for cleaning for your throttle body take it off and clean it with carb cleaner or throttle plate cleaner. For the MAF and air filter just use water. But the MAF I WOULDN'T reccomend touching the sensor with anything like a rag or ect. Run water over it thats all and when your done just use a hair drier to dry it off. For the filer buy a new one or run water threw the back of it or use compressed air. Also DO NOT put the filter back on when its wet. Use a hair drier to dry it or let it bake in the sun.
