Cobalt Addiction Stage Packages?

I have read on about Intense and GM Stage2 so forth so on, can someone fill me in on how good/bad the Cobalt Addiction stage kits are? I see stage 3 as being nice, but I don't like how they have a 2.7 with 42 injectors, shouldn't they run 60s?

Of course, I saw one person with Stage 3...anyone else with other stages? 4 possibly? Good bad? Fill me in please!

Well I'm going to be putting in a stage 5 soon. Probably within a couple of weeks. Im also putting in a K&N air filter and the XTC 2.5 downpipe with high flow cat. I let you know how it is when done and hopefully i can get it on a dyno. The car is going to be custom tuned.

that would be me ^^^
Yes I was the test car for the stage kits. they def put down some impressive numbers.
I managed (stag VI) 296 whp (with meth inj and 3" side exit)

any questions about their stage kits just shoot me a PM since C/A doesn't really get a chance to come on here much.

and mezzano... I"ll be at captree sunday morning (re-do of last weeks meet) and I'll jsut shoot over to you afterwards I guess.

Stage III is pretty damn good.... (just gotta get him to up the injector size) You'll be definatly pushing around 260 whp which is more than enough for a daily driver.
I actually was running the Stage VI kit with a few extra bolt-ons (HEader, D.P, 3" side exit exhaust and intake)

Iam sorry, but wouldnt a 2.7 totally max out the 42's?? I mean we hear all the time 42's having prob with 2.8's. How can a 2.7 be sufficient?

06, did u chek ure IDC when you where WOT with the 2.7?

I would imagine, a 2.7 IMO needs 60's. Glad to here you had no problems with your setup yet, I would just be cautious and get the bigger injectors soon!

yeah on my friends car ( wheelhoppinss) he was running a 2.7 with the gm stage II 42's... got up to like 148% IDC or something rediculous like that

but he did run a 13.5 at e-town the last time out

Good news and bad news. For me..and buying a car. Good/Bad news...sounds like C/A has great packages. But I went to a Chevy Dealer to actually test drive a SS SC...they had 2 in this mornin, couldnt drive...its a 25-30 minute drive...so i was BUMMED! But i saw the new red they are giving the SS SC, looks NICe actually, i hate the regular red, but this is nice!!! Anywho...i went down the road 10 minutes and hit up a VW...the GTI was a dream...I have to see how the Cobalt compares...

That would be fun have 270whp...what bout tq? I am guessin around 260wtq? daily driver, be fun....very fun, probalby sounds good, specially idle!!!

decisions decisions....

depending on what setup you go with you should see anywhere from 225wtq - 250 wtq
my numbers were 296 whp and 270 wtq with stage VI

Well Its Not My Daily Driver, I Drive Her On The Weekends Only Maybe Once A Week I Think If I Get The Stage 3 Have Em Upgraade The Injector Size Cuz I Odnt Want The Tune From Then (no Offense) And Then Get A Smaller Pulley I Should Be Pushing What Like 275+ ?

Id Love To Be Well Over 300 But Well Shoot For The Middle Rite Now Haha

maybe... each car takes to it differently.. like I said in other posts ... Darksun put down 262whp with a 3" pulley, but I"ve seen people with 2.7 pulley's put down less. unfortunatly you are not going to get over 300whp without some serious work. gonna need at least nitrous, or ported head and cams. But it is possible, but up around there I strongly recommend doing pistons and head studs at least.

Just ordered CA's stage 4 kit, and autometer's nexus wide band guage. Can't wait to get this kit in!

I'm kinda in the hole with cash now, my question now is will I be fine with the CA tune, until I can get the money for HP Tuners?

Also how do go about sending CA my PCM? I didn't see any directions on their site on how to do so?

Thanks

Thanks man. From what I have been reading, you seem very knowlegeable about their kits. Kenny e-mailed me, and helped with the rest
