yup pretty cool, and he left the a/c on. thats looking promising. thats looking at a mid 14 easily. if gm superchargers for the 2.4 are putting mid 14's down with only 170whp then thats got to be a mid 14 for sure, mid to low 14. its looking better. guys at scc dont know how to drive. or dyno a car.

Ehhh? SCC doesn't know how to dyno a car? They reported 197FWHP vs. your example of 200FWHP. That's pretty close. Additionally, I'd be willing to gamble on SCC's dyno being properly calibrated and SAE correction factors monitored than some redneck backyard dyno shop where the employee and customer wandered off to a city 'fair' for a hotdog.

I'll agree that SCC's 1/4 mile times were disappointing. Always best to take a sampling of what real owners are doing around the country in the cars when checking 1/4 mile figures.

Speaking of which, what are the majority of Ion Red Line drivers turning? (in close to stock form.) E.g. SRT-4's are pretty consistent at 13.9-14.2@99-100 mph stock.

look at the tq numbers, wtq number is over 190, scc couldnt achieve a 170wtq. as far as 1/4 times, the srt-4 is based on that and only that, interior is decent better than my cavalier but not as good as a redline, not even close to the cobalt. no one has drivin the rl in the 1/4 as in how a majority of them are probably still in the break in period. and someone on the jbo.org. raced a mustang gt and pulled away, his buddie's rl that is. so the redline i'm sure is capable of 14.5. just give it another month and you'll see redline 1/4 mile times everywhere. along with the cobalt if its out by then. scc, favors more imports so they'll lower the dyno numbers and 1/4 times on a domestic car. and do the best numbers on a honda. much like how the freaken english and germans do. they say good things about their cars and completely humiliate the corvette. so as far as trusting a back yard dyno, yes i'd trust one of them more than a magazine that is bias.

You're calling SCC biased? After that post? Isn't that akin to the pot calling the kettle black..uh-huh.

Always good to read forums that can provide a laugh at every turn.
