Because that's your opinion. Not everyone jumps "ugly, 4 door, turbo engine, glass transmission bandwagon. Not everyone is willing toturn down what they really like for the cars that everyone else likes.

Are you serious? Teens in the city and 20ish on the hwy is not good gas mileage.
S2000s are still getting mid 20s in the city and touchinhg 30 on the hwy.
Best mpg to date in my car is 29 city and 39 hwy. And that's with the supercharger installed.
I know its my opinion, so what was your point for the rest of the statement. No one is bandwagon jumping. Just stating cost effective reality, why pay more for a car when you can get the same out of something less thats all. But, it is my opinion which we all have. Sorry an opinion made your butt hurt though

and the only reason i said that the s2k has been on the market for 8 years is because honda have only made few upgrades to the s2k and newer cars can't still match the s2k
makes sense

I think the real problem here is comparing a $20k Chevy to a $35k Honda.
There is a seemingly unjustified $15k difference.

That depends on what you consider "the same".
RWD. Convertible. 2 seater.
How do I get these "same" things for less?

What do the Solstice & Sky cost?

but the only reason i did not get a sky RL (which i love the looks too) was because of the trunk space very little

28k closer to 30k for the gxp or rl

what I meant was if he was to purchase the balt with 15k left as a difference there's alot that can be done to that car to put a s2k to shame. With stage 2 and minor mods he can already be as fast or faster than a stock s2k. But if you're will to spend 35k on a stock car thats not much faster than one thats 15k cheaper why not get the cheaper one and hook it up. You can get suspension, power, and styling upgrades and still have spent less than 35k and get better performance and more power. If he buys the s2k he's 35k down and all he has is a stock car that pushes decent hp. Thats the way I look at it when comparing those 2 cars

ibtsgetsacobalt. Even with mods $ can't get you what the S2000 or similar cars can give you.

yeah I know...I can't say anything bad about that though because I never had an issue with a GM car. I read some of the horror stories on here and I never had any of those issues(knock on wood...lol). I still got a cavy I drive with 160k on it and no problems with it. But, also Honda's aren't 100% either. I got a couple friends with civics, and I've seen them get out and start kicking their cars because they start messing up and one of there's was around 60k on it. Or if you go to honda tech forums they got some hellacious problems on there too.

Is it even possible to get a sky rl without a wait now? Thats they only reason I would be looking at the s2000. My buddys dad had to pay 40k cash to get one back in october to avoid waiting 9-12 months to get one. Its a nice car but I couldnt wait that long for one.

S2000!!!, why is this even a question, buy a used s2000 and swap in the 2JZ and ur laughin.

silly hondas, v-tec is for bitches

There's a reason that the s2000 is rated one of the best cars almost every year. My only complaint would be the engine, which as stated above can be fixed.

the S2000 is a great car! The ss/sc is far more practical than the s2000 though, but i f that doesnt matter.... The s2000 is a faster car overall. But the aftermarket market....for the s2000 is alot more expensive than what u would find with ss/sc...idk both very good choices...

stock for stock, s2000>>>ss/sc in every way, modding goes to the s2000 too. Like the guys said earlier if you are going to be a ricer and bring up money, why don't you bring up resale value?
obviously you're a newbie so stupid is still in your dna...how is any of this ricer? Its called money and accounting. I was simply pointing out what you can do to an ss/sc to get more out of it without breaking your pockets for a s2k(obviously if the choice is between 2 new vehicles) Also, I did test drive an SRT-4 before I bought my car and if the shifter knob didn't come off in my hand in the middle of a test drive I may have bought it. 5.0 nice ride bad idea for gas. The only memory of a 5.0 I have is the one my grandmother had that kept cutting off when it got to the top of the hill she lived on. The piece of crap had to keep rolling in reverse just to get it started again. You are truley a retard if you didn't understand the comparisons I was making...Congrats Timmy!!

Z06 idea is good but most people can't afford the insurance on them.
