Cobalt SS/SC Twincharger Update

I just emailed Hahn Racecraft on some release dates. According to the authority, Hahn will release a bolt-on 3in exhaust for the SS/SC in 4-5 weeks. I also asked them about the twincharger kits as well. They said release date should be in early Fall. Seems like it might be worth waiting for to me. So those of you that are fabbing your own stuff, and spending too much time and trouble over a better power adder, it might be a good idea to wait it out for just a few more months and see what Hahn has to offer. Anyways, I don't know if everyone already knows this, I just thought I'd mention this bit of information. Hope is just around the corner.

I spoke to Bill yesterday @ Hahn, and there is no date or timeframe for the turbo for the ss/sc. You may want to call back whomever you spoke to for clarification.

bill hahn jr , does take a while to release things , but the quaility is top notch

also when he releases something he wants to make sure , no one is going to have issues with his system , they are well thought out and tested , and re-tested , just to make sure you get a good long lasting system , and have a trouble free system on your car

ive met and talked with bill a few times , and he is a good wealth of knowledge , and would rather take longer to get to the market just to know his products are quaility

I'm awaiting clarification from the replier. I'm not sure who said this, but really I don't care who said it. I just want the information to be credible.

With that said, I would love a twin charger system that actually put down some crazy amount of power, much like the kits they have for the SRT. I just don't think its going to match the 425whp that those Neons put out with nothing but bolt-ons.

I probably won't wait. I imagine I'll just have an M90 blower fabbed with a nice intake and exhaust and call it a day.

Go to their website and see for yourself. It's discouraging to me. So I'm not gonna look at it again.

you shouldve asked on the tuning, will it be piggybacked or hp tuned? i bet anyone anything it will be piggybacked, most likely with that port fueler crap.

it was either hahn or chill factory. there were others but they soon went out of business.

"they sold hundreds of 2004 turbo kits for the dodge neon, then, to make more money, they added the port fueler. which jacked up the price considerably, they said the kit NEEDED the port fueler and it has been proven that the kit doesnt need it. they made bogus excuses about the throttles position bla bla bla." From a 12 second neon RT owner i just called, his posts under MagnumRT.

he also mentioned that the sidewinder style intercooler are garbage, he had to redo the end tanks to convert it into a left and right pass system

Nothing against thier product but if I am going to have to get a new hood for a turbo, I might as well get a new hood for a whipple supercharger. Now if only I could fit two of them on there while I am dreaming ...

Ther could very well be another kit out for the LSJ before Hahn. My system (I am the tester) should be done when my engine gets back.

Twincharging means running a supercharger and a turbo. Not just one or the other.

I'm doing the Prototype Cat-Back Exhuast for Hahn, they should be done with it for me Tuesday July 18 says Hahn. I'm scheduled to test fit next weekend, I'll get some pics and video up ASAP if all goes according to plan. 3 inch on a pretty much stock Cobalt, I might be wanting to sell or trade for a 2.5 Corsa.
