cobalt ss/sc vs c4 vette
So a sales man at my work has a 94 corvette convertible that is completly stock, and it's and automatic. We are going to race 2mrow from a 40-100mph. Im am stage 2. He said hes going to rape me, not even going to be close at all. I told him to just give me props if I can hang and he said I wont hang. "It's like me saying I can beat a ferrari" Just wondering what you guys think it will turn out like?

I say kinda close, hp and weight about the same.
I think the C4 is a little lighter. They have about 300HP.
I'm going to say you will win because of being a stick. If the C4 was a stick I think he would win.

So it sounds like hes not going to smash me like he thought he says hes going to I just watched a couple 94 vette pulls on youtube and it dosn't look faster then my car

you WILL smash him. i beat a 96 lt4(6speed) c4 from whatever race he wanted. dig, roll, any mph. whatever. theyre just too heavy and not enough power. and since his is the lt1 which is "rated" at 300hp and convertible with an auto trans. i don't see this race even being a close one. a 94' vette with a curb weight of around 3350, auto, and convertible. should only be to muster a 14.3-14.5 as the 6speed lt1 was around a 14.1 with people rarely breaking into the 13's factory. with you being stage 2 and starting at a 40 roll, i don't see him ever starting to gain ground, even when you shift.

Is the stage 2 the only perf mod you have? I had stage 2, 2.9 pulley, exhaust, and an air box mod.. I raced several LT1 vettes and camaro's and beat them pretty good... From a dig I really had to try and it was fairly close.. From a roll and the LT1 had little chance unless it was cammed...
Stock C4's run 14.0 1/4.. So it will be close..

Most of the old guys I know think its just a wanna be little fast car and all the young guys think my car is sick lol. He wants to throw money on it, I told him I would do $20 for the hell of it but he wants to do more. If its really close or I beat him it will be hilarious, all his old sales buddys will **** themselves and give this car alot more respect for sure, they think im on crack trying to race him

What mods and what do you run?

also. try to remember. the NEWEST c4...is still 15 years old. 15 years of valve build up, piston ring corroding, engine timing also does not stay the same over 15 years on a tbi engine. rear end wear, and especially in older auto transmissions, the valves and paths within to transmission where the fluid runs become gummed up. cause the transmission to take longer to shift. and sometimes shift early, sometimes late.

remember guys, c5's are just ls1's.... c4's are slow ass lt1s and sorta maybe fast lt4s
only corvette's you gotta watch out for are heavily modded c4's. any modded c5, but if its an auto its gonna need gears. same with the c6's. the auto c6's are dogs unless its geared.
