Coilovers

I am deciding what my next mod is going to be and I was thinking coilovers but our cars are scrape sensitive from factory. Will lowering the car make me scrape every little bump?

yaap

just about...

for $1000

BC COILOVER offers a

front 8k spring rate
rear 6k spring rate

30 way dampening on all 4 corners
fully adjustable 1-3"
front struts have camber adjustment

Least expensive set of coilovers on our market, and have everything you'll need to dial them in to your spec.

www.modernperformance.com carries them
the stats posted above are directly from bc coilovers website, unfortunately modernperformance's site still hasnt updated their info from the first release 2 years ago.

I was going to go with K-sports the shop I am going with is charging me 1200 installed. I better check the spring rate. I want my **** stiff to prevent as much scraping as I can. and I am not going to crazy on the drop. Here is a link to the coilovers I was looking to get. http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/coilove...roduct_id=cd01

that's not a bad deal

do some homework on the set before diving in tho.

spring rates, dampening...

You may be better off just going w/ pedder springs. Supposedly the best spring setup on the market. to bad they wont release any information on them...

---

btw... you should of posted this in the suspension section. you prob. would have a much result in that section of the forum.

True but it's also really late lol. and I also heard about the LNF struts peddler spring combo and it seems to be the ****. A lot of people seem to preach the B&G coilover system but I rode in 2 of the cars that the shop owner installed the k-sports in and they rode like a dream. Thats what made me want them. I just looked up the spring rate and it's 7.5k at front 4k at the back.

I don't know the spring rates on the k-sports

but it sounds like they're considerbly softer than my bc coilover spring rates.

I'm running a 8k front and 5k rear, with the rear raked up about an inch over the fronts.
lets just say my car doesnt like un-even pavement

Actually the k-sports are 420 up front 224 at rear very close to the bc. Man I am more worried about damaging the bumper. How is your front bumper doing?

We have the spring rates. I can tell you they are higher than anything in this thread, if you want the actual specs we might be releasing them Nov first.

Also guys don't count out the pedders coilovers, they are a little more expensive but you gotta pay to play right?

They have their own specs that are proprietary. We had third party testing done, I still have to check and see if it's ok to release it.
