Come see my Dyno
Well the time has finally come to get this thing dynoed! I'm getting the car dynoed on a mustang dyno on Friday. I'm a tuning novice and the guy doing the tuning isn't familiar w/ hptuners so if there is anyone out there who wants to come to Owensboro to watch or add your 2 cents please feel free. I'm hoping to make over 300 hp, but I've seen other modded cobalts make less so I'm kinda worried. For everyone else who wont be there, I will bring my video camera.

good luck.
what kind of dyno machine will you be going on?
dynojet, i predict 320whp. the added compression, and ported head should make good #s. the only thing that could hold you back would be clutch slippage. i see in your mods list you have one ordered, but not installed. idk if the stock clutch will be able to hold down all that power.
no way, did you read that mods list?
i made 245/214 on a mustang with only a 2.9, 42s, intake and catback.

I have more mods I just couldn't fit them. I will be moving them to my garage soon. K'n intake, 4-2-1 header, magnaflow 2.5 inch exhaust. I will be trying out a 3.0", 2.8" and a 2.6" pulley to see which one is best. Oh and I fixed my sig, the clutch is already in.

i would be weary of going to a 2.6, but with forged pistons you should be ok. i think you'll make 300+ on a dynojet with the 2.8 you've got on there already. (cold weather rules)
what kind of dyno do they have at the shop you are going to?

Well to campare a stage three srt made 350 hp and 360 tg on the same dyno, which is pretty consistent with other dynos. He said it was a load based dyno so I'm not sure if it is a true mustang dyno. I just know that he has tuned tons of cobras and mustangs.

mustang dynos dont have to have mustangs on them, its just a manufacturer of the dyno.

I sent it to crower and told them I wanted to make more top end hp and this is what they sent me:
Intake 264deg lift .417
Exhaust 260 deg lift .408
I had originally planned on reving it past seven grand but Ferrea sent the wrong springs and three months later have still not reimbursed me.
