common reduced engine power solved

My atom has had issues with the car going into limp mode at random times either upon startup or while driving under acceleration.

2 days ago it stranded me on the highway because it went into worse then limp mode, where the pedal stopped working all together but it idled just fine.

Solution was the plug for my throttle body had come out, and I noticed the retainer clilp called a CPA was missing from the plug. I ordered a new one and will be installing it soon, I was wondering if this has happened to any cobalt owners, because those parts on my car are straight off the cobalt,

I'm curious if the builders of my atom forgot to put the retainer clip in or if it's happened to anyone on here.

page 2 in this link shows the 2 parts

yeah seen it happen on a few cars, clip fell off when we did my motor, and with the crazy vibrations it's bound to happen at some point
