Cooling mist VS. Devils Own.
Give us a call directly at 1.801.447.2559 and I can see what we can work out with you. At that time we can go over the various systems and system options we have available such our stainless steel line systems.
YOu know since no one really seems to want to listen... Aquastealth uses the same pumps, same boost pressure switches, but uses better METAL connectors and the same high pressure 1/4" line as all the other kits but it's 20-50 bucks cheaper!

Here's a picture showing our stainless steel hose assembly. The nozzle is located just after the mas air in the blue section of piping just before the throttle body.

90% of the ones on the market use the shur flo pump.
not much deviation from this, unless you go with an aquamist kit.
my kit is simple. shurflo pump/snowperformance. fittings. 1/4in line, snow performance nozzle. balkamp pressure switch. i don't have much faith in progressive controllers. i go with what i know works, and works for a long time.
zero issues to date.
you can go the easy way and buy a kit that is all together. or you could go the route i went and piece it together with what you want. any direction you go will work.

No, We all use different pumps. DevilsOwn, Coolingmist and Snow Performance each have slightly differnt pumps from shurflo but we all have pumps that are intended for methanol injection. There is a reason they are cheaper. If it does not have EPDM valves then its not going to tolerate meth in the system.
Thanks alot for posting on here to both AIS and Devils Own. I have made my decision, Pending Daily Credit limit
I will be going with the AIS set up (stage two). with the steel lines and Trunk mount. Stay tuned in the near future for Before and after dyno results.

Not all of the companies are buying the same Shurflo pumps. Some companies are still using the Nomex seals, which are not compatible with 100% methanol as the seals will deteriorate quickly if 100% methanol is used. Our pumps come with EPDM seals. Building your own kit isn’t the same as buying a system from a company which has designed them specifically for use with 100% methanol.
This is the pump in question http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...081&in_merch=1

as far as the mix, i usually go with a 60/40 mix. keeps things mildly happy, and prevents the 185 degree flash point from happening.
i hear ya, but the only thing i dont like about themeth is that it is constently spraying, but i belive with a better tune u can get some great gains out of there, and throw better timing into the car
constantly spraying? um, no. mine kicks in at anything above 5 psi. im rarely at that point anyways. the timing i run, you can't run on rgular pump gas without meth. or race gas. it would destroy the motor..
well i got over 5 psi daily lol haha...so i would go through that **** fast as hell
...but i just fukin sprayed the bitch so ill be good without meth for alittle while
id liek to get a 2.7, 60's and a ported blower and pistons, then i think the meth will be more beneficial to the car (power wise)

Area47 i don't see me or him fighting. He could not have been anymore politer to me. I see his point. I am trying to be polite to by not posting about our product till we are a sponsor. its only fair to rodney. Why there is no pictures extra.
With our Stage 2 system users are able to pre-select start and full points for triggering and varying flow proportionally to the signal or signals being used with the water methanol injection system. How aggressive the tune is set is ultimately dependant on you and what the engines needs.
- 100% digital processor for lighting fast response
- Quick, easy to use adjustment knobs
- The only controller which allows you the ability to manually adjust and change the start pressure, max pressure and curve of the system.
- Heavy-duty metal housing protecting the controllers CPU. Not plastic like other competitors controller.
- Greater range of adjustment then any other controller on the market with the ability to run true 2d Map using MAP, MAF, TPS, EGT or AIT in addition to Boost.
- Built in boost port for carbureted or EFI users who want to run a mechanical boost signal
- Built in serial port for connecting laptop for enhanced tuning features such as running multiple inputs (2d mapping) at once, data logging, saving and locking your settings.
- The only controller which allows you to use any of the following signals; Mechanical boost signal, EGT, TPS, MAP, Mass Air Meter, AIT, ACT or any other 0-5 volt sensor on your engine to base mapping of off.
- The only controller with a built in data logger allowing you to record and review the input signals being ran into the controller. Perfect for those who want to review the systems performance during a racing event, towing, normal daily driving, Etc.
- Built in status monitor which not only indicates when the system is activated but also performs a system function check everytime you turn your car on indicating the systems CPU is operating properly.
- The only controller which comes with free Windows based software
- Unlike the competitors "kits" our "systems" come pre-wired, tested & ready to go ensuring you will not only receive a fully functional system but also saving you the troubles of wiring the system yourself and potentially making a mistake and damaging the controller.
As for fluid consumption, even while the Cobalt SS use's the Eaton M62 and sees boost much more frequently and for longer durations then that of the centrifugals or turbochargers, users are getting approximately about one month of use from our 1.5 gallon (6 quarts) rear trunk mount container with about a week of use with our 2 quart fender mount systems.
Typical gains are between 10-15 horsepower. Horsepower gains are largely dependant upon ECU tuning. It's also important to note the substantial increase in engine safety are gained with it's use as it greatly reduces the potential for harmful engine detonation while also helping to cool the tops of the pistons and upper piston ring.
For many of our customers a water methanol injection system is added exclusively for the added insurance it adds to protecting their engine. Horsepower gains are secondary
.
Be sure to check out www.magnacharger.com which has a video on their home page showing one of Kenny Duttweiler's latest builds in which he made 725 horsepower with California pump gas using our Stage 2 progressive trunk mount system on a LS2 Magnacharged engine.
If you look closely you will notice our blue fluid line with nozzle mounted in the air inlet before the throttle body with the tank located in the rear.

well as of right now i have a custom hp tune...but it is running really lean and starting to worry me....but i was looking into meth, but wasnt sure of how hard it would be to tune it or set the settings on it
but how much does ur kit cost and how easy is the install?

Tuning our system is very easy. Give us a call directly at 1.801.447.2559 and we can go over how to tune both our Stage 1 and Stage 2.
