Cooling mod questions

Alright guys im getting my stage kit installed soon and before i do i need some additional cooling mods. Im going to be running a 2.8 so nothing drastic but i want opinions on OTTP's & ZZP's dual pass endplate. Also what will i see better IAT's with the dualpass or option b? Eventually ill be getting a heat exchanger but i just want a lil something that will hold me over. thanks guys

ohhh and idk how to use the search button because it sucks ****.

Dual pass for iats. Opt b doesn't effect your iat really, it just keeps your cooling system working at maximum efficiency. As for brand it doesnt matter both do the same thing, ones not going to work better than the other.

just get a heat exchanger, dual pass isnt worth the hassle...

really just getting a meth kit would be your best option for cooling......

ight thanks man. the reason i asked about brands is because ottp makes theirs from our stock endplates and zzp actually designed one.

are you on crack?

Stock quad pass is HORRIBLE.

1. Dual pass

2. Heat exchanger

3. Phenolic spacer

I recommend in that order

Bigger/better HE + option B is good stuff. Meth makes magic happen to from what I read. You might want to look into the griffin HE, not cheap but from what I've seen people like it.

Yeah on a 2.9 i needed no cooling mods according to hp tuners. Once i droped to a 2.8 you could see temps were to high to do back to back pulls.

I would go HE first and go from there.

do all cooling mods. not kidding. all mods possible = win. dual pass + phenolic spacer and option b is a good start. then add stg 3 he and the griffin later. then meth.

Besides the trolling. I'll give my $0.02

Coming from John Powell, the best thing to do is Griffin Heat exchanger + dual pass + option B. Probably most expensive but yields best results bar none.

For the economical people aka myself, i have ottp HE + phenolic plate + dual pass + option b.

Go with ZZP for the phenolic plate, dual pass, and option b. cheaper/better customer service than OTTP from what I've been reading.

Only reason i have the ottp HE is because it was used, good condition, right price.

and ya, there are TOONS of topics on this...

I have the ZZP S3 H/E, dual pass + opt B, and just recently added the phenolic spacer. I cannot believe the difference that spacer makes. Next stop for me is meth.
