how is the AEM methanol kit? I am looking to buy one and just seeing what the options are out there. I have the C/A Heat Exchanger and I love it.

The AEM methanol kit is getting installed thursday by the shop, but from what I can tell, its really nice. I love the boost controller and how you can set it up for when it starts to spray and when you want it to spray fully etc. Its a really nice kit. I also recommend the 1 gallon container because the less weight the better and you go through 1 gallon per month give or take.

AEM... hmm when did they start making meth kits...... ::shrug::

Intake it doesn't matter on brand, its up to you
Dual Pass.... well I think it's worthless but that is up to you
Cobra H/E (it's more than enough), I got mine for $20.00, but you can find them for around 50
Devils Own Methanol Kit (boost activated) kit...

There you go.... I have around 100* IAT2*

m-dub, can you be a little more specific on your iat2? What is your iat1, and is this with just cruising or is this after a wot run or what?

The dual pass really isn't pointless, mine is being installed thursday and I will show the difference if you would like.

I hope you do show me.... I have seen them in person and on a dyno and on a street run....

And it was a 90ish degree day, I got 108* temps.... 80mph highway runs with the occasional jaunt in there as well!

THey are good for heatsoak... not cooling intake temps! There is a difference!

m-dub is that with the meth spraying or not spraying? I get roughly the same iat2's. The faster I am going cruising the cooler they are obviously, but mine are generally 20degrees or cooler, with just a cold air intake. My dual pass end plate with option b, and meth are being installed on thursday. I should see a pretty big drop i am thinking. I am also installing a heat exchanger...whenever i buy one lol.

ive yet to see any proof that the dual pass does a great deal for cooling....

not saying that it DOESNT, im sure it does "something", but considering how many people have them, and no one has quoted any numbers of significant results....

M-dub I am on the stock stage 2 pulley, thats probably why we are seeing the same temps. I didn't start this thread, was just curious to know what gains you got from the mods you did. What size pulley are you running if you dont mind me asking. If you would like, I will go take a pic of my iat and iat2 from my interceptor while cruising at 70mph. Around here the speed limit is 65, i dont like to go more then 5 over, and its about 80 degrees out at 7pm.

edit: well i am getting the dual pass end plate, and my meth installed on thursday. I will see if the dual pass helps at all, if it doesnt i will let you guys know. I am also doing dyno pulls on thursday so wish me luck.

m-dub, makes sense mate. Glad to see though that you have low iat2's, hopefully mine will be as low when i switch to 60lbers and a 2.7 with a tune in july.

I agree with all of the above, except the CX H/E. To me it looks like poor quialty. I would also at Water Wetter to your cooling system aka Rad.

running a weaker coolant mixture can help alot. (more water, less coolant)

RESEARCH this before you do it though, you may need a certain mixture depending on your temperatures during winter....

frozen rad fluid makes baby jesus cry

A ton of people here recommend and use the cx racing heat exchanger. What makes you think it is of poor quality? I haven't purchased it yet, and may not if there is a better one. But it seems to be better then a cobra heat exchanger, and the cobalt addiction one you have to wait 4 weeks for so I really don't care how good it is lol.

What heat exchanger do you recommend rally?
