Cooling questions

I notice my car runs consistantly between 170-180 degrees. I would like it in the 160 range. Have any of you put a lower temp t-stat in to help keep internal temps a bit lower? Yes, no? Good, bad?

ummm thats totally perfect man, mine runs around 185 almost all the times during the summer, the engine needs to be over 170 and less than 190 to run to specs, so your fine and dont worry about much...

just because YOU want the car to run cooler doesn't mean the CAR wants to, or will run more efficiently. It's efficiency point is actually about 185*.

the only time you have to worry about cooling mods is when you start lowering the size of the supercharger pulley. But that's usually because you want to avoid heat soak. But there are several threads about that already.
