crap engine

so, my engine is basically garbage. It has 22k on it and it runs like a pinto IMO. I can't get it fixed because the repair shop says it's "fast as hell! Sweet! faster than my car....DUH!" they are all idiots. They say that because there is no engine light or code, there is no problem. Ive tried and tried to come up with a reason. So, Heres my question. What can i do to blow the engine without making it look like it was set up? I figure this is the only way I will get it fixed. Well, I would get a new engine actually. Any Ideas?

You need us to tell you how to blow your engine? These things are solid, I bet if you try to blow it you will wreck the drivetrain first. If you really want to blow it it's simple. Put 87 octane in with a 2.9" or smaller pulley on stock injectors and tune, guaranteed you won't make it to the end of the block WOT.

symptoms of a dying engine...

billowing black smoke upon start up with a little rev of the engine.

a slight knocking noise.

horrible gas/exhaust fumes in cockpit after acceleration.

very sluggish acceleration.

bad mpg.

thick black deposit on new plugs after 5 minutes of idle.

Car dealer says this is normal for a supercharged engine... meh

thats not normal. My car knocks and my check engine light comes on every now and than so i took it in and they scanned it to tell me there was a missfire on all 4 cylinders and they said they couldn't fix the knock cause they don't know where its comming from after i showed them a video of the knock. Now the check engine light problem they told me theres nothing they can do cause the car wasn't missfireing............i drove to to NC from Ny and now i get a knock and i feel a little missfire.............There going to hate me at that dealership. lol i'm buying only honda from now on <-----------probly shouldn't have said that.

I'm sorry but everyone i've known that has a civic has atleast 160 miles with no problems. They beat them and only have had to replace breaks and tires. In one case suspension. I REALLY hate to say this, but their built better. I always thought it's the driver that makes the car go bad, but in the case (of atleast civics) they last................I still love the looks of the civics though.................in my rearview.

Just put it in neutral and put the gas pedal to the floor. Repeat.

I was just playing around.

I think logevity has a lot to do with driver and maintenance. Plus a 4 cylinder should last longer with have as much motor to go bad.

I think Honda got a good name in the late 80's early 90's and never lost it.

How long do some of the early ecotecs last? We have members over 100k already.

drain the oil in a pan (save it) then when it dies put it back in. Should be so destroyed they wont know what happened.

its fraud, but so is their "warranty" promise.

I personally wouldnt do it.

I wouldn't do it because it sounds like you might be able to fix it easily. An LsJ is not a motor i would just blow up due to anger, maybe a geo metro, but not an ecotec.

I owned a 2002 LX Civic coupe. It was a 5-speed. Before the 36,000 mile warranty was up, I had these problems: 2 new alternators, drivers side power window replaced, fuel pump, and power steering went bad. After everything was fixed under warranty, at about 55,000 miles, my cv joints started to click. yes I said it, cv-joints. That is fucked up. Oh ya, my key faub stopped working at about 42,000 miles also. I did change the batteries. This just shows that any car company can have **** cars. I bought the civic because I was told that they are invincible and would last to at least 150,000 miles with good maintenance. Boy did this car prove that theory wrong.
