cruise control

posting on this one because i have the supercharged ss. My question is, is there a certain speed to set the cruise control. Becuase at one point i had to get it fixed, it worked once then i just tried today and it didnt work again, luckily took it to a better dealer becuase the one in my town is stupid and cant work on a freakin sport tranny. But was wondering if anyone has or had the same problem and what you did to fix it, or if there is something i could do, or if i am tring to engage it wrong or something?

Thanks!!

i think it's 25mph+

you might want to check your fuse box for any blown fuses

look for the EXH fuse iirc...

well maybe the dealership i took it to will do that, have to get sychros changed, and my door fixed, luckily i am barely inside the warranty mileage so everything is covered, but thanks will look at that when i get it back and see if they changed it or not. Is there any way the one the first dealership put in could have blown in a day? if it was bad or something

You probably just blew the fuse.... Check the fuse in the engine bay.

got it figured out. For some reason the clutch switch had a slight malfunction and would never turn off. So it wouldnt let me engage the cruise control. THanks though guys!!!

try pulling back on ur brake pedal.... this happens to me..... ur brake switch gets stuck and doesent release.... the car cant go into cruise control mode if the brakes are applied..... so if the switch is on, no CC.... that or a bad CC switch.... which also happened to me once

Sounds like you just didn't turn it on again before trying to set it.

Then it's gotta be the clutch or brake sensors. Warranty that bitch

If you ride the clutch the car will throw a clutch sensor malfunction code and will prevent you from engaging the cruise control. If you disconnect the battery for 10 seconds or so it should clear the code and the cruise control should work. It is always possible that the clutch switch is just malfunctioning in which case you will have to buck up and go buy a new switch at the dealership.
