I know the 2.5" vs. 3" is debatable, what do you guys think? I just hate to go 3" collector and downpipe, then bottleneck it to 2.5" at the catback. Seems like it'd be better to keep it a full 3" thru.
yep I would do the 3" I have the same setup as you and I have 3"
sell the thermal and get the full head back from *****

then you have a 3" all the way!

and it sounds nice! fits great and looks great!

Is everything (header and 3inch exhaust) all bolt on or is welding required?

Another question. I want all bolt in for ease of installation. I was looking at CTI and JBP. On JBP website they say that some welding is required.

Does anyone know which is better, CTI or JBP. I will consider welding the JBP if it is better.

Thx

Personally I like the CTI, it is a much nice piece with the compelte header and downpipe with the hi flow cat, $600 for JBP and you get no downpipe is steep!

I like the fact that out of all the header's available, this one is the most "long-tubish". I'm sick of all the company's coming out with "shorty's".

I can answer for pete, he had it coated.

I'd recommend JetHot, if you want it done. Great service, product, and fast turnaround time.

I had all my ecotec turbo charge pipes coated, looked and worked great!

I thought so. Do you know how much it cost him to have it coated? Thanks

Damn it! That's one of the reasons why I picked out and ordered the CTI, I thought it came coated. Already shipping, so I guess I have more phone calls to make and the grand total will increase some more

I forget what they charged me, I think it was like $75-100 for my log turbo manifold. I'd say between $100-$150 for that header. Give them a call, they are very pleasant and helpful.

I have coupons for $25 off, any order over $200. Let me know if someone could use one.

I'll be ordering my CTI header in about a month. I'll see what the cost of coating is, and pm you if I can use it. Thanks buddy.

Can you show me a pic of where these bolts are. It looks like the cat is welded in and you would have to cut it out and weld the I-pipe in. Im really leaning toward this piece. Thanks.

Just look at each end of the down pipe, there are flanges on it, all bolt on. You would actually get a second dp without cat so you can just swap back and forth between the two. It'll add to the cost, but it would be worth it if you want emmissions legal for inspections or quieter exhaust for getting groceries, and then yank the pipe with cat off and swap for the plain pipe when you hit the track (or go cruising for action on the streets, if your like that).

What you are showing me is a DP with a cat. I want on without a cat. Thats ******* gay. i dont want a DP that i have to bolt in and out, i know you have to have a cat to pass emissions, i dont care. Does CTI sell a DP from where ever the hell they make them wihtout a cat, no cutting, no replacing.

Yes. Just tell them you want your downpipe catless. I've already checked into this.
