Custom Exhaust...

I'm looking to get 3" piping all the way back. I hear 2 1/2" is good with 4" tip. What are some recommendations? If i can get 3"... should I?

well.. the tip doesnt do anything dude.

..... i personally dont think 3" piping is a good idea unless you have some crazy plans in the future. a 2 1/2" is more practical.

I just took my car to the local muffler shop and had them cut the stock exhaust off and weld on a 40 series flowmaster....lemme tell you that thing sounds sick....everyone i hang with likes it...turns heads all over town! of course i dont have much plans in the future for increasing HP so this isnt for everyone. I do agree with the majority about the 2 1/2 custom cat-back...just find someone who madrel bends and not crush bends!

I've got my 3in and i frickin love it!!!!

It was great for mid-top end power.

i may have lost or just not gaind TQ with it but I'm also battleing a sliping clutch so i dont know what blame.

the only problum with a 3in is that who ever you have make it has to know what there doing becasue you can rub agenst the chasi(sp?) if its not bent perfect

if you have plans to bump HP then 3in is a good thing to take a look at.

if you dont work with somebody who knows EXACTLY what there doing its going to hit.

its scary close in somespots BUT do-able

if it does rub in some spots im sure if you stuck a little VHT tape in between the pipe and the car then you'll be fine.

its do-able tho just make sure you have smart people make it.

I have the ZZP 3" downpipe and exhaust. I need to get back to the track for some new numbers. The 3" cat back is coming in the next week or two.

contact ***** at cti, his 3" is schweet!

no rubbing and he can do a 2.5" to 3" step so you can mount it to the stock header/cat
ck my header post and see the hp/tq GAINS! all across the boards!
and there is a vid clip there

Even an upgrade to 2.5" is king of worthless with the stock downpipe because that is only 2.0". For performance gains the downpipe and/or headers should be done before the cat back. For sound, the cat back rules though.
