custom steel exhaust...
Someone had posted a link a time ago that had a link to a website where they mandrel bent steel tubing and made an exhaust for the ss (any car i think for that matter)... it was cheap as **** (painted steel, not stainless) as i am looking to get a new exhaust...
I have a 3 inch dp... does it hurt it to adapt down to a 2.5 exhaust? (what i have now)
I know 3" is said to be too much, but is a 3 inch dp with the 2.5 adapter more performance dragging than with a straight 3" setup?

Right... but the question is more of whether which is worse... the straight 3" exhaust (which got shot down by that post)... or having a 3 inch dp flange down to a 2.5...
see what i mean?

ahhh,... I read it wrong... I think a 3" dp into a 2.5" exhaust is fine... dont you already have a 2.5" exhaust listed in your mods??... Sounds good to me.... Most of the after-market dp header combos I researched were set-up to bolt on to a 2.5 inch exhaust, or the 2.25 ( the stock exhaust).... not sure about the pacesetter .... maybe it required some custom fabricating by the muffler shop??... seems that brand needed some work to make it a bolt-up, or it was welded on....that might be the header though.... I did not read anything about the clear image set-up...already had my vibrant in the box waiting....!!

Worse? I would assume having straight back 3" would be worse if you're not running a turbo or twincharged car.
