cv axle seal

i've been leaking tranny fluid since i snaped my cv's. its just a little bit, but i know i need to replace that seal in there. has anyone done this? im searching for it, but just seeing if anyone done this and if its a pain or pretty simple...

looks like im needing this part# 55353153. its a seal..if you look at the differental assembly thats where you will find the part.

input seal should be around 28-30 a piece and you need 2

need 2? i thought there was only 1 spot for it? cause there only one place where its leaking from and its on the driver side

o ok so how do you do this. reove the cv axle, then remove those 5 bolts? or once i remove the cv axle should the seal be right there so i can just pull it out?

i believe you remove the shaft and use a seal removal tool looks like the claw on a hammer on both sides then use a seal driver to reinstall them... i havent got around to installing mine yet the dealer denied my warranty on them bc i had sportlines

see im wondering if i could take mine in and have them replaced under that power train warranty. but i installed ottp stage1 axles. do u think i would get denied?

yep. they denied me even before they knew i had sportlines and that was b2b warranty! they said it was normal for them to leak a little bit and dont need changed till its a rapid leak or streaming thats when i got mad and raised my voice asking why? so you can put a new transmission in? by then its too ******* late and you dont realize your transmission is out of the 1.7 qts (f23)

lol...i called them and they said they couldnt casue of the aftermarket axles.

Get a seal driver. Took us 2 hours to remove and reinstall the two seals with the transmission out of the car. Of course we didn't have the proper tools. lol

well they dont know what cafr it is or anything....would it cost me anything if they lifted it up and seen that i had the axles? and denied me
