cx racing (small one) clean install w (pics)
slight differences
1. the tabs
2. theres looks like a 2 core dual row (mine is single core dual row)
3. the fitting's
4. size "looks" the same but ??? if it is...
after looking at them i belive the c a one is a single core as well that one end tank threw me off but looking at the other side you can tell its single

The tabs are added by whoever is selling it, C/A makes them to work with the brackets they provide.
Yeah, the C/A one is single core as well, they just weld on the outside of the tank instead of the inside.
The fittings are different because the C/A one comes with braided hose and -AN fittings.
I was really only asking about the size, since it looks almost exactly like mine does hanging behind the bumper.
Very nice install too, looks good.
anyone else notice that the pic on ebay is not exactly the same? its shown on ebay as the tabs being at the bottom of the H/E, and as we can see in the OP's pics, they are on the top

hungryhip... u gotta explain to me how to put the coolant in once everything is installed...i dont want any air-pockets and every thread i've read is kind of fuzzy in this department...maybe because i dont know enough about intercoolers and heat exchangers...

Looks just like mine. I have the small cx racing h/e also and i really enjoy it. Especially during these hot summer days, helps her stay nice and cool. Iat2s have never seen above 160 including 3 back to back 1-3rd gear pulls.

well get this a member on here made a great point... he said that this was made to be a direct replacement unit and that having two was slowing down the flow and creating a drag/load on the pump (he had two fail) so i thought about it and fiqured what the hell ill route it so just the cx is being used
i have seen great results cruising temps use to be a little high like 15-20 degrees above ambient temps when usually there like ten above.
my crusing temps are now very close to ambient there at sometimes as low as only 8* above ambient but usually 10-12* and back to back 1-3 runs i dont see higher than 150-155*
so far it is working great for me the temps dont rise as high when i sit at a light either...
im not taking out the stock one i just left it in and capped the fittings...
the flow is much more violent when you look in the fill tube also like when before i had two hooked up...
just something for everyone to think about... discuss please
