is it dangerous ?
is there a possibility to broke the engine if i`m using the wrong nozzle size for methanol injection ( too big ) ? i`m asking because last week my engine broke and the shop was tuning the car for methanol. 75 meth 25 water 7gph nozzle but the car was fine 23 timing no knock afr 11.2-11.0 but then all the oil go out by the dipstick and the piston #4 was gone..... my setup: full exhaust 3` no cat ,intake,2.7 pulley zzp stage 3 he and meth
I'm using a 7gph and I know others using much larger nozzles. Don't see how it can cause damage like that other than flooding the motor if the pump never shuts off. The shop doing the work is most likely to blame, too much timing/lean AFR will crack that piston.
I'm using a 7gph nozzle as well. Too much meth will just cause you're motor to bog out. Unless you're check valve fails and fills you're intake with meth. Then it can cause engine damage if it hydro locks
i`m pretty sure to, because when i bought the car (used) there was a strange noise in the supercharger. They change it under warranty (6000$ canadian) but if the supercharge was dead there is a good chance that the engine was tired to.
