DBA rotors

DBA now offers 2 series of rotors for the 2.0L and 2.4L SS cobalts:

The standard/gold series, offers front and rear rotors, with the option of slotted OR drilled/slotted.

The 4000 series, also offers front and rear rotors, with the option of slotted OR drilled/slotted.

The 4000 series is a much higher quality.

So that's 5 bolt only? Any options for those of us with 4 bolt? I'd like a set of crossdrilled up front. Still waiting for a rear disc conversion, I had a whole rear suspension setup off a wrecked ss/sc, but I didn't feel like swapping everything plus I didn't want to have 5 bolt on rear and 4 bolt up front. Which would mean changing the front hubs too, so I just parted with it. So lemme know!

Power slot offers front slotted rotors, for the 4 and 5 bolt, we have them in sock.

SSBC offers a rear conversion for the non ss models, and a upgrade front kit. We can get you a % off the conversion listed online.

They are a quite a bit more than the powerslot, however they are a much higher grade, and well worth it.

The retail prices are for each rotor. Meaning you would need to purchase 2 at that price for a axle set.

We will most likely be about 10-15% under MSRP

Standard/Gold series

Front:
cross drilled/slotted
Retail - 160.99

slotted
Retail - 149.99

Rear:
cross drilled/slotted
Retail - 126.99

slotted
Retail - 114.99

4000 series
Front:
cross drilled/slotted
Retail - 198.99

slotted
Retail - 186.99

Rear:
cross drilled/slotted
Retail - 186.99

slotted
Retail - 174.99

I would hope they would last at least 5 times longer than the stock set. My rotors were trashed after 6,000 miles. They were not abusive miles either. GM chose a set of brake pads that were harder than the damn pot metal rotors and they chewed them up fast.

What brake pads would be reccomended for the gold series rotors? Also, what is that qaulity like for the golds?

GM did use cheap rotors or to high quality of pads for them IMO.

I would recommend the EBC green or red. Depends on what you are looking to get out of them.

The golds IMO are awesome, they dont seem to warp, or wear very fast. DBA makes some really outstanding products. The 4000 series i have heard nothing but awesome reviews from other car models.
