Dezod Exhaust Problems!

I know I am going to flamed for this but, when you spend over 400.00 on an exhaust that does not fit it just doesn't add up. Now that I have your attention, Nukem on these boards ordered there Redline 2 3/4" SS Catback exhaust. It looked really good, and promising when we took it outta the box. After we tore the bottlenecked stock one we were pumped. The one part that fit was the flange that bolted to the stock DP, then it went downhill from there. At first we they sent him the wrong one, but they didn't it was so shitty it was unreal. The only good part of today was when we to the Saturn dealership to get some power steering work done on his ION. After we got everything this exhaust took 3 1/2 hours just to get it into place.

The stock one, its was also a bitch to get off. The rubber mounting gromets were kicking my ass. WD40 let me take that match, plus they were all wet and salty.

1. The bends are inacurrate, and we can't adjust the rattling from where the pipe goes over the axle. This picture is the best we could allign the muffler.

2. The mouting points are also very inaccurate, everytime we put one on it would stretched to holy heaven just to get the next piece to even remotely line up.

3. The ******* Bells are damn near the same ******* size. This was the biggest problem we encountered. We could not get them to go over each other to save our lives, in a last ditch effort we had to bend the end of flange down so we could go home. The shop was closing in an hour, we had to rush it. Picture below, we could not get anymore 1/16" without severly restricting flow.

4. It leaks, because of the problem above.

I dont care what anyone says this exhaust should have fit, not questions asked. If we didn't have to cut the stock one off, this **** would have been sent back. Do not buy this exhaust without after Dezod make a revised version.

I got 2 Magnaflow exhausts on mine, about $500 for everything, and they sound & look great! That sucks about your exhaust though.

Did you try to contact Dezod about this before posting this. I heard that they are willing to work with people.

How about instead of Dezod working with us, how bout they correct there exhaust for everyone. Nuke shelled alot of money for this exhaust, and it was a complete waste.

I will fight them, haha! This was the gayest afternoon in my life, well almost. Like the time my clutch pedal got stuck to the floor.

How about you let them know of the problem so they can correct it for everyone, including you, rather than just slam them for it. It's called cooperation.

Tell me how they are going to fix the problem? The stock exhaust was already cut, Nuke made an appointment to have it fixed locally. Enlarge the bells, and give him new mounting brackets. They should pay for that correction, thats IMO. I changed the thread title so its not so controversial.

That sounds reasonable to me since you can't use the stock exhaust again.
