difference for ls4 and lsj tb appearance wise..

I bought my car used and I've seen pics of the ls4 tb and mine looks the same along with the drivability stand point and my intake elbow had to be made to fit over it. Anyone got pictures of the lsj vs. ls4 throttle bodies??

suppose I could measure it, but wouldn't they be the same length around?

I will/can post pics tonight.

And no, the diameter is not the same. The coupler I have for my LSJ will not fit my LS4. I have another coupler for the Ls4.

is there a distinction you can make when trying to figure out if you have an ls4? because they look the same, except one is slightly bigger.

Measure it... No real way to tell from a picture otherwise, unless you look at part numbers or whatev.

You get jerking in first gear even with the stock throttle body. It acts as a compounding effect so once it starts you either have to let off of the throttle completely, give it alot of throttle, or shift into a higher gear.

I haave 50k on the stock tb and 14k on the ls4. I have never hard a hard time with either.

Never had a problem with either one as well, it just isn't needed, so it isn't an upgrade...

LSJ = 3" O.D.

LS4 = 3.5" O.D.

damn, I think I have an ls4.... explains why my intake elbow had to be shaved for it to fit, or maybe because it was an ebay intake
