Question dip stick popping out

I recently added the stage 3 pulley and did the dual pass + option b install on my 06 ss/sc. since then i have been noticing the dip stick is popped out of the tube everytime i open the hood. I am hoping this is nothing serious and can be solved with a simple fix or add on. if anyone has any insight as to what may be causing this, i mean i understand that excessive crankcase pressures would cause this, but why? thank you

yeah, thats all fine and well. i have no CEL and no oil being spewed. dont know if this means its a different cause or if its just the begining of what may happen. is there any way to diagnose or test to see if its the gasket without replacing it? thanks for the info.

no it is bad unless it has been changed. there is a problem with the gaskets on 2005s and most 2006s and you have just got lucky that no oil has come out

well, after a little investigation and a test i have determined that the dipstick tube is just vibrating violently and flinging the dipstick out of the tube. as soon as the engine starts to rev, the tubes moves back and forth covering about 3-4 inches of travel hence throwing the dipstick from the tube. even after placing a finger over the tube during the revs there was not any kind of pressure coming up. so i replaced the o rings with some new ones and it appears to have corrected the problem. thank you for all your advice and help. these are some good little engines.

if your engine is moving around that violently, it'd be a good time to upgrade your engine and tranny mounts to poly..... that'll keep everything where it's suppose to be

the engine its self is not moving around, just the tip of the dipstick tube due to the resonance. the o rings did seem a little worn and hardened. but yes, thank you i will keep an eye on that for sure. i think i will be upgrading to the wheel hop elimination kit from gm that includes the motor mounts and hd axles when i am able to gather the funds.
