Dipstick

Well I had my car in the shop for quite some time to get the dipstick situation under control, but it still exists. The dealer replaced the gasket and the manifold, but I am still getting the same problem. I just zip-tied it down for now but what else could the issue be? its driving me nuts and im almost out of warranty so i want it fixed asap.

Suggestions?

ummm if i was you i would make sure that the dealer replace the intake manifold gasket with the new improved gasket that doesnt allow blow-by in the primaries, cause they probably just grabbed the old one off the shelf instead of the new one, you can get the new number for the good gasket out of the dipstick sticky thread

alright so it will go back on Thursday. What should I tell them? Ask for compression test and the part number for the gasket they used? I honestly think it will go in circles, but they are kind on the warranty work. I just need some info on what to tell them to get this fixed right once and for all.

If you dont get it fixed during warranty, all you need to do is add a filter neck to the top of your oil cap (drill a hole through oil cap) and that will relieve crank case pressure.

Pretty good if you go back to stock as much as possible.

#4 has taken an official **** on you... stop driving it so that you do not ruin the sleeve if you havent already. Swap your intake and exhaust back to stock and try to get it covered.

if the number 4 cyl took a **** on him wouldnt it been running like a dogass? If the PCV valve is plugged or inoperative, it can cause a buildup of crankcase pressure. This condition can force oil and oil vapors past the rings and valve guides into the combustion chamber..

I'm going thru a very similar issue minus oil being in any of spark plug locations.

I've replaced the intake manifold gasket

checked the valve train, and pcv line from the valve cover to the CAI

compression test multiple times, only to see nothing wrong.

oil breather filter is on

I've even tried sea foaming

To bandaid the issue, ive undone the bolt holdin the dipstick to the intake manifold. it's stopped my dipstick from popping until I solve the issue.

---

Do we have any way without lifting the head to see if our internal pcv on the head is clogged? And is there a way to unclog it if it is?

If the piston has a small crack, or ring seep, you may notice a small miss or just barely burning oil. If you keep driving, and it is a cracked piston... (ill put my money here if I were betting) it will break apart in a short matter of time and the loose debris will scar or crack the sleeve, possibly adding a viewer window in the side of the block.

I've seen clogged PCV's on newly built motors. I'm willing to bet that first. Just sucks tha the PCV is a PITA to replace.
