Well this weekend i should be install ing stg 2 with a 2.9 pulley. just curious if i need new spark plugs. i will be getting them either way it just might a week or so. is there anything wrong with running that setup without them

As long as you are not running into any knock retard you should be fine. I would however suggest you run a 1 step colder plug like the ngk.

Do you have hp tuners or a aeroforce gauge? I would stay out of the throttle until then.

If you are getting tuned that will be much safer. For it the stg2 tune leaves some on the table.
