do we have downpipes?
so last night i was talking to my buddy one owens a 5.0 mustang and the other srt-4. we were talking about how pricey it is to modd cars and stuff and i was saying ya i seen a guy with a 3" downpipe with a high flow cat for sale for a 100 buck on line a couple of days ago. they look at me and started to laugh. the srt guy said i dont think you have a DP, only turbo vechicals have DP. i swear we have downpipes do we not? noob in the house

as far as I understood most references to downpipes are for turbo cars..
Depends how ya define it tho.. Most cars exhaust just hook up to the headers/manifold .. Sounds like a downpipe as it is used in terms of tuning is the part of the exhaust that connects directly to the turbo itself. But some call the front part of any exhaust system downpipes as well.
