Does Copper Matter?

I know there are a million threads on sprak plugs, but i havent found one that addresses my issue. Sorry is there is a thread.

I just got NGK (v-power) BKR7E plugs. They are not copper. Does this matter. Everytime I have seen them and heard about them they were copper, wondering why mine aren't and if it even matters?

Just talked to NGK and they said it didnt matter. They have just switched from the gold ionized coating (copper) to the platinum/silver coating, this is better resistance against corrosion.

Thanx guys.
