Italstalnprd86's ram air project
Italstalnprd86 is working on a ram air setup for our ss/sc's. im sure he will chime in to answer questions and whatnot so here are some pics...

Great idea but taking out the fog light would have been ideal. The intake is right there. Who uses fog's anyways. I think they are over rated (now that i have my HID's) doesn't look right with the 2 together.

Sewer hose? Ghetto hacking things like that is just asking for problems. Get a good CAI and do it the right way. As posted above, A ram air setup isn't going to help anything at all.
The way I see it, the less the supercharger has to work to get the air it needs the less power it will take from the engine to operate. This is kinda like Natures twin-charge. btw Weapon R makes a bad ass ram air kit that Im getting when rk comes out with the new hood they're making. Im getting the weapon r cuz I didnt wanna do exactly what your doing

picture of hose fed through hole, and into the fender area........
all in all was a good project, it sounds very good, and seems to work well too.... i am going to get a new filter, one that the hose can be fed directly on to with an adapter..... i think with the stock air box a 3-2 inch reducer and the k&n it would be a decent set up, as you could just cut the bottom of the airbox and epoxy the reducer on to it...... if anyone is interested in one let me know, or i can repost the pictures in a nice little how to... cost me a little over 20 bucks for everything it looks pretty sweet too.... i used automotive weather stripping on the back of the velocity stack to more less keep it in place and keep it from scratching the paint.....

would buying the new bumper kit that came out and leaving the injen in its place actually create ram air? the new bumper for those who havent seen it has a chicken wire insert where the fog light is.
