I was wondering who makes aftermarket cams for the ss/sc? Is anyone run afermarket cam if so what kind of gains have you seen?

 

the only people that have advertised aftermarket cams for the lsj would be gmracing. They had a limited run of cams that needed upgraded valvesprings for the head. OTTP mentioned a while ago that they would be looking into developing a set of cams for our engine.

 

^which i would love to see. I'd like to see OTTP blend the best parts of the GMR's with the 272's that Area had, and combine them and whatever other profile they come up with for a Super LSJ Cam.

 

HEll yeah go OTTP lets see what you can do! If you need a test car I will let you uae mine.

 

I got my head being built around the gmr cams by m2race.com, the same place that they send their cores to. Only reason being that I couldn't drop so much cash at one time without going through my bank first. I'll be sure to let everyone know how well they work on a built block.

comp cams does

 

comp cams does NOT have cams that fit the lsj. i have seen it listed,but all the cams that comp makes are for the 02-06 l61 2.2l. they do not make an exhaust cam thats will drive the cam position sensor.

 

dont bother. Area took his out....stock is best....
