Don't know what to buy???

I have about 2 grand to play with and want to pep up my car. I am already looking into the vibrant headers and down pipe. and thinking about the stage II but was wondering if anyone has opinions on the best route to go for performance.

My goal is to be in the high thirteens. I would rather spend the money for something that is better quality so any suggestions are appreciated . It is my daily driver so some things might have to wait til after the winter.

i wouldn't waste money on the s2, just get some 60s, 2.8, meth, and some traction mods and you will easily be in the mid-high 13's. With a tune of course...

OTT stage 1 kit. cheaper than gm stage 2 and get alot more performance out of it.

http://ottperformance.com/product_in...roducts_id=111

i would also go with intake, exhaust, header, ingalls torque dampener

That's a good start right there. Add poly trans mounts, Ingall's ETD, CAB's, exhaust, and cooling. You should be able to get where you want.

why is everyone steering him away from the stage II?

I'm in the same boat he's in. Not real sure which direction to go as far as Stage II/pulley etc. Some one post what they think I should get and a link to a site that sells the stuff. It will be my daily driver, but I want it to be one mean daily driver

never mind I went to the OTTP website. How many lbs of boost will that stage 1 kit put me at?

For the money, our package is much better and every bit as reliable. The kit comes with a 2.8" and 60 pound injectors unlike the gm stg2 which comes with a 3.06" pulley and 42 lb injectors which are maxxed on the gm stage tune.

With most customers on the dyno all have seen within 1~2 hp rate at 256~258 whp.

I would however suggest looking into a heat exchanger kit or a dual pass with a larger surge tank to help keep iat2's happy.

Or both. It's really worth it. My butt dyno says so.

BTW, I might be selling a car tomorrow and I'm thinking about taking my own advice and getting the OTTP stage 1 kit. I'll let you know.

CAI- $150-300 depending on brand
Full exhaust-depends on what you go for
Stage 2- around 500
ITD or tranny mounts

You would be pretty close....

if you dont want a CAI just to an ABM.

Stage 2- stealership cost is $525, so expect $600 plus. Just depends on how much your parts guy is your buddy. Plus, you need to account for the cost of the reflash from the stealership.
