whats the size if the stock downpipe before it narrows at the rear flange
also my downpipes been raddling for a while and its internal when i tap on it it sounds like its rusting out inside and its not cat cause i made sure i got every bit out when i gutted it
and i did search

If you hear something rattling on the inside, then no, you probably didnt get it all out.
Did you blow it before you gutted it?
The outer diameter of the dp is About 3".... so the inside is a little larger than 2.5"..
