The DREADED filter / Ebay intake Thread

I purchased this: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I just have a BIG feeling the filter is a PIECE slowing down the air flow
I am going to get a K&N filter on it but need some peace of mind in doing this

It looks like a 2.5" pipe (but cant remember exactly)

I thought this would be the choice to make: K&N RD-1200 - Universal Air Filters, Universal Air Filter Or what am I doing here lol

If its 3" i'd think its http://store.knfilters.com/search/pr...x?Prod=RU-2430

Can anyone assist? Thanks!

I had this exact cai. It is 2.75 inches similar to the injen. If you want to change filters get the aem filter. Speaking of which I have one for sale that should fit it.( nice plug huh lol)

Actually I might have lied. It looks a little different then the one I had. Mine had a bigger maf section compared to the rest of the pipe.

That thing does not fit very well at all. The install sucks and it is difficult to get it connected to the throttle body. Also since it doesn't fit well it makes it a pain in the ... to get the splash guard back on and there is a buldge where the tire rubs every time you turn right. Also the MAF port on it sucks. The and the screws don't really tighten in all the way and the MAF is kind of loose. My opinion spend the money and get one that is made better.

You speak the truth - I've experienced all that lol. I used washers to clamp down the MAF. its working great since then. Thats why I felt like grabbing a filter for it and dealing with it. Apparently i dont turn right very much ahha

Do you know the diameter?? Though I am def tempted to grab the ZZP 3"

You speak the truth. You get what you pay for and paying $35 for an intake will get you headaches and not that it matters any more but I don't remember the filter size.
