There is no point in doing this besides looks.

i doubt it would fit on the right side you should just measure. and its probably not to hard but fab is required and hangars need to be mounted etc.

How are you planning on doing this? Y pipe near the rear of the car? Why use stock mufflers? How are you thinking on setting this up?

i dont think a stock one will fit on both sides, i have box style mufflers for my duals and its a bitch to get them to fit. and the stock ones are x2 bigger then my mufflers.

I believe the exhaust will say 50 states legal if it is. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Single Exhaust Tip FTW.

Doesn't look right if it's not made with Dual Outlets.

I was at a local meet last night..

Someone with a silver LS had dual tips. Magnaflow mufflers. He got it done at a local shop around here for like 300...

It actually sounded really nice. VERY deep tone.

Im not 100% but I beleive what makes a cat back leagal or not is the DB rating. If I remember correctly as long as your under 95 dbs youll be ok. and if you are harrased you can fight it and have it tested, the DMV should be able to test it for you.

Running two mufflers will be quieter than running one. if they are the same muffler.

Do you not think it would add unneeded weight? Its just my personal opinion I wouldn't add another exhaust, maybe for a show car thats about it...

all cars look great with duals, there may be very little hp gain if any, or maybe a slight loss. but the apperance of duals is by far a sweet upgrade. p.s. i also, are in the middle of a dual exhaust upgrade, and i can't wait to finish it. a good body man can custom the rear bumper to finish it off nicely.

I mean it really wont add all that that would matter. Just take your spare tire out and then your back at 0 if that really matters. I think the benifits even if just look and sound outweigh the weight. Its a cool mod and makes your cobalt pretty unique and special
