The cores just pull out. You must and I stress MUST be very careful or you will can damge the core and they won't seal anymore. I wrapped the edge of the laminova in a rag then used a pair of pliers to gently grab the laminova and pull it out. You may have to twist them a bit when pulling them out as well. If you have some kind of soft pliers or something to use that would work better, but alas I did not have anything else to use.

When you put the cores back in you have to give them a nice hard push and you should feel them kind of "pop" in. If they don't "pop" back in, you need to double check that the gaskets are still in place on the end of the core.

i pulled them out with my fingers, you just need to get a good grip on the ends. The one time i tried taking them out with pliers i ended up crimping the ends of 2 of the cores. The ones that have large holes facing out i just stuck my finger in and pulled the thing out using pressure and suction to my advantage.

thanks guys. i pulled them out. they were sealled pretty well with the rubber gaskets on the each end. i did make an indent in on of them though. i put them with the big openings on the end then the small openings in the middle.

You aren't shitting. It took me FOREVER to get all the damn hoses off. I ended up using vice grips to hold the clamps open and twisting using hte vice grips and twisting on the hoses until they came off. It took me all day of working on them to get them all off, plus put everything back together.

get channel locks and get some tissue. you dont want metal to metal contact. simply grip the ends and pull. and out it comes

a few tips from my trip to hell w/ the dual pass...

i used a strap wrench to grab the end of the laminova cores and twisted while i pulled w/ my fingers. i got scared putting pliers near the cores.

I wound up using a dremel to saw off one of the clamps because i just didnt want to deal with it anymore.

a little off topic: would dual pass increase performance on an S/C setup?

dual pass doesn t increase performance it helps you keep what you have by reducing the negative effects of heat soak in the inlet system, and stops the issues that air bubbles create, affecting the transfer of heat to liquid coolant.
The hose deal is not that complicated: use the proper tool to release the clamp, then a small pick to go under the hose, and a little silicone spray into it, and off it comes... the epoxied clamps are a PITA but thats not the issue.

BTW take the relay out for the h/e pump, (*top left of the fuse box on redline check your owners manual fuse and relay diagram; jump the contacts to run the pump, thats easy...make sure your hoses slope down from the reservoir to the h/e and the pump, dont run hoses up above the reservoir it will create a potential air trap....easier to have this done by a qualified shop if it means going to the er to get patched up.... i have never put an additional h/e i run a thicker griffin in the stock location, but if you plumb it right it should work fine. Contact Ralliartist on this forum he runs the cr h/e and he can help you i am sure....
