True, but that doesn't stop the blower from generating heat! Have fun, but the Interceptors measure Crank HP i believe!

if he adjusted the interceptor for weight and altitude its right.. and i cant believe no cooling mods. jus remind's me of a friend with an IRL that went 2.7 with 60's and his blower lasted a month.. you must never really rev or stay up in the rev band. i dont think you will see 280..

I just know how much heat my blower generated with just my 2.85 after a run, you couldn't even put your hand on it, it was soo hot! But with the methanol after 3 runs it's still cool to the touch!

run a stock balt a few times and touch the blower. it gets hot stock too.

i revise my guess... you will not make 280whp, more like 135, due to blowing a piston. 135 on 3 cylinders isnt too bad though

j/k.

I am deff. going to say nothing over 260 and maybe 250ish torque! You are going to get some serious heatsoak if you don't let it sit for 20 minutes after each run with ice on the blower!

I am going to say that if they put that sucker in 4th gear and then floor it from 2,500 rpms like most dyno, then the thing is not going to do well, and will give sporatic results due to knock. Lemme know

yeah um he did the pulley swap and hptune.. and with the 2.7 his exhaust sound started to change.. he then put on a cobra HE but was still running a factory exhaust including header with jus a k and n intake... BAD IDEA... he is trying to sell his car with a donated factory blower on it for what he payed for it.. not gonna happen

That can come back to haunt him.... if someone buys it takes it to a dealer and it comes back that it was destroyed, they will most likely make him take the car back and give the money back!

even over summer i had the 2.7 and it was good . . i have my interceptor set on knock and boost and, under WOT in 3rd , 4th no knock maybe once and a while in 4th ill see a little other then that none, and as for the heat i know it generates alot thats why after today the balts going in the garage for winter and i start off doing ported s/c, 3.5 t/b with the meth nozzle over winter

also recently had a winter tune done so my a/f's are a little safer

i think ill be good though car hasent let me down in 2 years and no problems

Mine is gone, we still have Kate's Red SS, but that's back to stock.

The kid who bought my cobalt did not take my advice, and pumped a tank of 87 Octane into it. The car lasted 17 minutes after that, and then It grenaded. He rebuilt the motor with forged pistons, and then broke an Axle, and in the process of trying to tow the car himself with the help of a buddy he ripped out the radiator and A/C condensor. :-( The car sounds like it has had it.

how does the meth kit work? Does it continuously need to be refilled? If it does, how long does it last?

Depends on whether you have a pressure switch or one that runs constantly. If it runs constantly it will last a few hours. It it is a window switch you can go a week. (All assuming you use your window washer bottle and not the half gallon container that you can buy.

And it's cheap if you buy Wal-Marts Supertech Winter Mix Formula as your spray.

But without tuning for additional timing you gain nothing other than cooling. And if you don't own your tuning software don't add timing.
