Dyno numbers from New Era 2.8 pulley package +

Spent the day on the dyno yesterday tuning in the #60 injectors and some final fine tuning , I am running the New Era Performance 2.8 pulley package with the addition of a CTI header and additional heat exchanger (not included in the package but can be added). After all was said and done , I ended up at 271 whp and 245 wtq tuned very meticulously and a safe progressive timing map . Coming up next is the n2o , I will let you know the results after we do it . The car trapped 106.6 (13.5 ET and 2.29 60 ft with stock tires and suspension , just an ingalls torque damper) last year making 258 whp and 227 wtq , I really think it will trap all of 109 now after a few runs against someone's STI today ! Just need to establish traction a bit now . You can see the dyno graph at www.neweraperformanceparts.com in the cobalt project page .

Mike

Thanks , I have a hptuner file I could email out to anyone who purchases the kit for a little extra (optional) which you can use as a starting point for tuning as long as you have hptuners . I really don't believe in mail order tunes so I would still highly reccomend a dyno tune be done though because every car responds different .

Its $1399.99 But you get all of this,
This package has been proven in our test car and worked on it with only 1500 miles on the clock , higher mileage applications can expect even better results , HPtuners software really is a must to be able to tune your package after installation and we will can give you some assistance over the phone or via email doing so to get you started in the right direction if need be . This can be ordered at www.hptuners.com , or we can tune it for you on our dynojet dyno as well for an additional $300 . You are saving over $100 off of our already extremely low prices buying these parts as a package !!! Here is what you are getting : NGK BKR7E spark plugs , Magnaflow catback exhaust , #60 lb. fuel injectors with harness clips , K&N Typhoon intake , Pulley Boys 2.8 pulley and hub (which is interchangeable for other pulley sizes) , Pulley Boys Adjustable Idler Brackett (eliminates the need of changing to a smaller belt and will work with other smaller pulley upgrades as well) , CTI Offroad Downpipe (no cat) . If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to call .

why pay all that w/ a down pipe, exhaust cutout and cobalt addiction stage 3, depending on who tunes it you can get over 270+ hp

the kits under 600 and the down pipe (est 10 hp) and the cutout est 15-20 hp plus the stage kit abt a 1000 all together than the tune on a dyno depending where you go youll blow that kit out the water

Just Wondering

Take it as you will , I feel that this package is very efficient and I have tested many different parts on our in-house Dyno and many different tuning methods (80+ pulls on the car) and I am very confident in what we have learned . Just throw a downpipe and pulley swap and mail order tune for cheaper if you like . We do also sell all of the components in the package individually on our site www.neweraperformanceparts.com , I just thought I would post this here so people can see results on what a list of mods like this puts out .

Blow it out of the water ???????????
Can you show me the cheaper way to use a 2.8 pulley and blow these dyno numbers out of the water ? I am curious to see this .

This was also a on 93 winter blend fuel. We added a ic fuild temp gauge, and monitor the intake temps on every dyno pull, and track pass. This is great power for the 2.8, with a conservative tune. We are not working the blower hard yet. Whating for the track to open and get some better times.

Cool Conservative Tune?

I was wondering how an air/Fuel ratio of 13.0 to 1. is considered conservative. I have tuned a few NA Ls1 motors and have made Peak Horsepower at around 12.8 to 1. I think You guys at are really on the edge of blowing a motor. I personally own a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am with a Vortech Supercharged 383 Lt 1 air to water intercooled and I am running a really safe 12.3 to 1. I could make an extra 50+ hp with a leaner Air/Fuel and 1 to 2 degrees more timing, but blowing a motor will set me back $8000.00. Good numbers, but I would personally add some fuel from 3500 to 6500. I would try to acheive 12.7 form 3500- 5500 and smooth it to 12.4 from 5500-7000+. This will also keep the combustion cambers cooler and make the motor live. Be carefull!
