dyno slips? don't make sence to me
k im totally oblivious to dyno's really and i just have a question tho....how come i see people when they say yes i dyno'd my car its bone stock or w/e and they post that their stock (bone stock) hp is like over the 205 hp we supposed to be at and usually see people be UNDER the 200 ft/lbs we supposed to also be at..can someone please explain this nicely to me without flaming the hell outta me first?
The cobalt ss/sc was underrated from the factory, so stock you will see dynos at below, and over 205whp, all dyno's and cars are different, so your not going to get the same numbers from every car and dyno.
thanks everyone and well then i hope mine is one of thoughs ss/sc's that are above the 205hp then LOL how much is a rip for dyno's what a good price for dyno's any way ? lol
here is GA cough up 65 bones and you can get 3 pulls on a dynojey dyno w/ a nice glossy photo of your car on the dyno and the graph below it. usually large group will get the price down to $40-$50 add on some extra funds for wideband testing, power to weight ratios, etc....
The difference between dyno are a whole 'nother ball game. The dynojet is a load bearing dynos and the mustang dyno is inertia based (maybe visa-versa, but pretty sure i am right).
a car dynoed on a dynojet will make higher numbers than on a mustang dyno given same weather conditions and altitude.

I think the average WHP is 215 and sumtin round 190 torque.
based on the dynos i have seen i would say the numbers are closer to 220'is and high 190's but i havent wrote down every dyno i have seen and done the math!
This whole dyno thing is a can of red wigglers and i am suprised it hasnt got out of hand yet!
The best thing about a dyno IMO is its ability to show the performance gains of a specific mod. Alothough there are a lot of variables i.e. weather, temperature, operating temp, tire preesure, holding your mouth the right way, etc.... you can get a good ballpark idea of what a mod is worth as long as your vaiables arent way off i.e. dynoing stock on a 100 degree day then adding a CAI and dynoing in the middle of winter on a 30 degree day.
dyno simply are not made for figuring out how fast your car is, but to help maximize its efficiency (dyno tuning) and to get baselines on your mods.
